Each week 8 matches could be played. Option 1 is to play all matches in one day, such as Saturday or Sunday. Option 2 is to split the matches to say 4 matches on Saturday and 4 matches on Sunday. This would take 15 weeks to finish one round. Each season would be two rounds, so each team plays against another team twice each season.

to stay alive on this project, the revenues must be greater than the expenses. the sources of revenues include marketing boards, concession sales (food, beverages, etc), entry fees from spectators, sponsorships. the sources of expenses would be compensation for players, referee fees, cleanup expenses, security/patrol expenses, crowd controls, etc.

does anyone know the figures for these for a soccer game?

life insurance should be call "death insurance" as it is to be pay to the beneficiary when the insured person die. the insurance company use probability and statistics to determine the amount of the premium (cost of insuring). it's actually a field called "actuarial science" that is devoted to studying the life and death of people; their tables, charts, studies, etc are very detailed. the insurance company uses actuaries to set the foundation of their policies.

why am i looking into the insurance industry?

well, every week i get few Emails about this industry, no idea where they got my Email address from either.

I was thinking that why would I be paying them to bid that I won't die during the insured period? I know myself enough to know that unless unexpectedly something happen, i won't die within say the next 12 months.

perhaps i could start my own life insurance company, by charging say $1 per day, with the total premium must be paid upfront upon signing the policy contract. I would cover you for say $10,000 if die within that 365 days (in a non-leap year). Let's just keep it simple.

Also there are so many Hmong called "Nyiaj Ib Siab Ob Qeb" or better term is "Nyiaj Tsav Ntuj" organizations that have been doing this form of insurance ever since they came to the industrialized countries (i.e. USA, France, Australia, Canada, etc). Every where you go that has Hmong people, there will likely exist this form of insurance. Why? Hmong funeral expenses have been up to the $50,000 on average these days.

I think most of us assessing the Hmoob Cup 2011 in August 2011 should realized that games fixtures and rules need to be set in stone. The next tournament of this caliber, which would be "Hmong Cup 2012" should be a great improvement by implimenting criteria that will advance Hmong soccer to a different level.

All along since the beginning, I have pointed out to the host (NextLevel) that they need to have a good fixtures and timeline. In my view, it's quiet simple to have good fixtures and good rules in place way ahead of the competition.

So for the next tournament of 16 teams, it would be best to held over 5 days so that games can be scheduled such that a team only plays one game a day. I welcome your comments on my draft layouts below.

There is no 3rd Place in the competition, so I would only have the top team from each group to compete in the knockout games (G1, G2, and G3). Note that the above fixtures would accommodate a competition of 32 teams as well, provided there is at least two fields for the games.

I have already posted the proper game times in an early blog. But below is what the schedule of times for the games for the above layout.

Hmoob Cup 2011 has gone by, and Black Cats have earn the Champions title.

It seems the games were not well organized, even though there were 8 teams. The hosts have chosen two groups of 4 teams each, but there were a "plus 1 game" for some of the teams. The schedule of games were mostly on Saturday, while much times seemed to be wasted on the other 3 days.

In a two groups, it should have been a very simple layout of the fixtures evenly throughout the first 3 days being 4 games each day, then the knockout games on the 4th day.

Obviously, the hosts chosen a different layout of the fixtures. I think it should be as follow:

Then the top teams, which is one team, from each group compete for the 1st and 2nd places. There was no third place, so have one game on the last day. If there was a 3rd place, then have the 2nd ranked teams play a game for this position.

oh, well hopefully there will be more events like this in the future.
